Washington Figure Skating Club (WFSC) is thrilled to be hosting the 2025 International Adult Skating Competition. The Club is looking forward to welcoming domestic and international skaters to our nation’s capital this autumn.

The Club has partnered with HBC Event Services to offer nearby hotels to skaters and coaches. Hotel booking
Most accommodations in Alexandria, Virginia are a short distance from the arena but will likely require driving or taxi/rideshare services.
Air Travel
When booking flights, please note that there are 3 airports that service the Washington DC region.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the
closest to the Mount Vernon Recreation Center. It is located
approximately 6 miles (10 km) from the arena.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is further
away, approximately 30 miles (50 km). This airport has the
most international flights available, and may be the best
option for many travelers.
Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is the
furthest away, approximately 40 miles (65 km). Please note
that there would be higher ground transportation cost
compared to the other airports.
Ground Transportation
There are usually plenty of rental cars available from a variety of car rental companies at the airport locations. There is also taxi, rideshare, and shuttle services available. The nearest Metro rail station to the arena is the Huntington Metro Station on the Yellow Line, located about 2 miles (3.5 km) away. The Metro rail system connects Alexandria to the major attractions in Washington DC.

Volunteers
WFSC events are all volunteer-led, and we could not host our competitions without our volunteers. We will need over 70 people to keep this competition running well. Volunteers will have access to a hospitality room at the event with snacks and drinks. Click to sign-up.
Additional Info
Photography: We’re honored to have Melanie Heaney Photography, a figure skating photographer for the Winter Olympics, with us as the official photographer for the competition! She will be taking action photos of every performance. Skaters will receive an email about pre-orders before the competition and can pick up their digital action photos on a USB drive before they leave the competition.
Videography: Videos by Looking Glass Productions are included in the registration fee. Information for downloading the videos will be sent out to the skaters after the competition. Live streaming information will be emailed directly to the skaters.

Competition Souvenir Shirt & other apparel:
- Looking for embroidered skating jackets, vests, or gear? These longer-lead-time items are available only online in the Fine Designs webstore (see items at the bottom of the webstore).
- Online ordering is available from now through the end of the competition.
- All online orders will be shipped directly to the customer’s address and take about 2 weeks after placing the order.
Locker Rooms: Locker rooms will be available as dressing/changing rooms at this competition. There are open spaces to put skates on as well as private changing rooms, subject to availability.
