ISU International Adult Competition
General Information
Washington Figure Skating Club (WFSC) is thrilled to be hosting the 2025 International Adult Skating Competition. The Club is looking forward to welcoming domestic and international skaters to our nation’s capital this autumn.

Registration
The local organizing committee plans to open registration in July 2025. This may be delayed if the technical requirements document for ISU-supported adult figure skating competitions during the 2025-2026 season is not published until later.
Entry will be through Entryeeze, which is the same online registration system used in the 2023 International Adult Figure Skating Competition in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. All forms and payment are to be submitted directly by the participants. Entryeeze accepts credit cards, including international cards.
Closing date for entries is August 31, 2025 or when capacity is reached.

Hotel
The Club has partnered with HBC Event Services to offer skaters and coaches discounted rates on local hotels. Booking Weblink is coming soon.
Most accommodations in Alexandria, Virginia are a short distance from the arena but will likely require driving or taxi/rideshare services.
Air Travel
When booking flights, please note that there are 3 airports that service the Washington DC region.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the
closest to the Mount Vernon Recreation Center. It is located
approximately 6 miles (10 km) from the arena.
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is further
away, approximately 30 miles (50 km). This airport has the
most international flights available, and may be the best
option for many travelers.
Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) is the
furthest away, approximately 40 miles (65 km). Please note
that there would be higher ground transportation cost
compared to the other airports.
Ground Transportation
There are usually plenty of rental cars available from a variety of car rental companies at the airport locations. There is also taxi, rideshare, and shuttle services available. The nearest Metro rail station to the arena is the Huntington Metro Station on the Yellow Line, located about 2 miles (3.5 km) away. The Metro rail system connects Alexandria to the major attractions in Washington DC.

Volunteers
WFSC events are all volunteer-led, and we could not host our competitions without our volunteers. We will need over 70 people to keep this competition running well. Volunteers will have access to a hospitality room at the event with snacks and drinks. Sign-up link is coming soon.
Additional
Photography: We’re honored to have Melanie Heaney Photography, a figure skating photographer for the Winter Olympics, with us as the official photographer for the competition! She will be taking action photos of every performance. Skaters will receive an email about pre-orders before the competition and can pick up their digital action photos on a USB drive before they leave the competition.
Videography: Videos by Looking Glass Productions are included in the registration fee. Information for downloading the videos will be sent out to the skaters after the competition. Live streaming information will be emailed directly to the skaters.
Training and Seminars: There will be a variety of workshops, training and seminars at the competition, beginning on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Further information regarding the seminar topics, schedule, prices, training packages, and registration information will be communicated at a later date.
Welcome Reception and Closing Celebration: A Welcome Reception for all competitors will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The time and location are to be announced. There is no charge for this reception. Further information regarding the schedule and program for the Welcome Reception will be communicated at a later date.
A Closing Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025. The time and location are to be announced. Further information regarding the schedule, program and ticket prices for the Closing Celebration will be communicated at a later date.
Competition Souvenir Shirt & other apparel: There will be t-shirts and other Adult International apparel for sale at a merchandise booth at the competition.
Check-In: Check-in will open on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. Seminars and practice ice sessions will start this day. Competition events will be held on Wednesday (October 8, 2025) through Saturday (October 11, 2025).
Locker Rooms: Locker rooms will be available as dressing/changing rooms at this competition. There are open spaces to put skates on as well as private changing rooms, subject to availability.
