General Information
WFSC is thrilled to be once-again hosting an ISU-approved international solo ice dance competition – the 2026 U.S. Solo Ice Dance International. This will be in conjunction with our annual ice dance competition held since 2002, the 2026 Picken Ice Dance Classic. The Club is looking forward to welcoming domestic and international ice dancers to our nation’s capital this spring.

Travel Info
Hotel: The Club has partnered with HBC Event Services to offer skaters and coaches discounted rates on local hotels. Hotel Booking Link
Air Travel: There are a couple of options for flying into the Washington DC area. The closest airport, Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), is approximately 6 miles (10 km) from SkateQuest. Other nearby airports are Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA), which is approximately 22 miles (35 km) from the arena, and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), which is approximately 51 miles (82 km) from the arena.
Washington Metropolitan Area (Metro) Rail: The nearest Metro rail station is the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station, located 0.5 miles (0.8 km) from SkateQuest. Both the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station and the Washington Dulles International Airport Metro Station are located on the Silver Line.

Volunteers
WFSC events are all volunteer-led, and we could not host our competitions without our volunteers. We will need over 50 people to keep this competition running well. Volunteers will have access to a hospitality room at the event with snacks and drinks. Sign-up is coming soon.
Additional
Photos: Action photos are provided by Melanie Heaney Photography for an additional fee. Skaters will receive an email about pre-orders before the competition and will be able to order action photos at the competition.
Videos and Livestream: Videos by Looking Glass Productions are included in the registration fee. Information for downloading the videos will be sent out to the skaters after the competition. Live streaming information will be emailed directly to the skaters.
Competition Souvenir Shirt & other apparel: Fine Designs will be onsite with custom apparel, so it’s best to get them there in person, including shirts with all the skaters’ names on the back. Webstore information is coming soon for longer-lead-time items. All online orders will be shipped directly to the customer’s address and take about 2 weeks after placing the order.
