Ann Merz, a member of the Washington FSC since 1999 (23 years) passed away on 2/22/23 after a long battle with cancer. Ann is survived by her husband Robert and her sons, James and David and her sister Lynn. Notably, Ann partnered with Jim Wilson in ice dance and together, they brought medals home from adult competitions such as the New Year’s invitational as well as the US Adult Figure Skating Championships where they won silver (adult pre-bronze in 2005) and bronze (adult bronze in 2007).
Services for Ann will be held on March 15th, 11 – 12:00pm at St. John Neumann Church in Reston, 11900 Lawyers Rd.
